The COSHH regulations were introduced in 2002. Every day we come into contact with many different types of hazardous substances. The air we breathe, the food we eat, and even the water we drink and wash in, is relevant to this course. In Great Britain, there are a number of regulations that have been put in place to deal specifically with the use of hazardous substances in the workplace. COSHH covers the vast majority of substances and mixtures of substances, used or produced in the workplace that is potentially hazardous to health.
